Everyone has good intentions to make BIG changes at the start of a new year. Research has shown that small incremental changes are more sustainable and produce better long-term results. On that note, I have decided to start a series of blog postings for 2013 Titled: 52 Weeks, 52 Ways to a Healthier You. Every week I will be posting about one small change that you can make to improve your health. Small changes can have a BIG effect on your health. For example, cutting just 100 calories per day from your diet, will result in a 10 pound weight loss over 1 year. That’s like cutting out 8 oz of soda or half a candy bar per day. A small change that equals a BIG result. Imagine what 52 small changes can do for your overall health over the next year.
I challenge you to record your weight or BMI (Body Mass Index) in a journal, along with a description of your overall energy levels and how feel about your overall health. Then, read my blog weekly and implement the small change that is discussed that week. Each week maintain the changes that you have already implemented and add 1 new change. At regular intervals (no more than weekly, no less than every 3 months) record your weight and description of your energy and health. Feel free to post in the comments section about your progress. Visit Vida Nutrition for a blank journal template.
Check back soon to get BIG results from your first small change!
